Our Team

  • Mike Barker

    Managing Director

    Mike Barker

    Managing Director

After spending six years in the commercial team of the Financial Times launching and building a substantial conference business, Mike, Sue and Tony decided to take a leap into the unknown and launch EI to offer clients an unrivalled, independent approach to B2B Marketing. Mike has been central in developing EI’s research function and is responsible for all market intelligence; only possible because of his multi tasking skills. But then if you live in the Northamptonshire countryside with dogs, cats, horses, chickens and children you definitely need to multi task.

  • Sue Mayers

    Group Finance Director

    Sue Mayers

    Group Finance Director

It isn’t surprising that Sue had childhood dreams of being on the stage as she plays a major role in directing the company. With a BA in French and Spanish and an MBA, Sue spent 18 years in various managerial positions in the business information sector. As one of the founding partners of EI, she has been fundamental not just in managing the finance team and recruitment but also in the strategic direction of the company. Her calm, methodical approach to leadership and business deserves a nomination for best supporting role but give her a couple of pisco sours and a karaoke machine and she becomes the leading lady.

  • Tony Jarvis

    Managing Director

    Tony Jarvis

    Managing Director

For EI to earn the position of being a genuinely ‘trusted advisor’ with clients since its inception is an achievement Tony is extremely proud of. Building a deep knowledge of his clients and their businesses is what makes Tony so vital when it comes to strategic planning and execution and his address book of clients, suppliers and stakeholders is impressive. But his success and achievements wouldn’t have happened without his boundless energy and enthusiasm for what his clients need. You would think he would be tired by the weekend but no, he has three young boys, is a keen triathlete and once swam to the Isle of Wight in 89 minutes. And what would he do if he did have a quiet day? Apparently he’d like to join the Red Arrows.
