Matt Harper
CEO
Matt joined Ei having spent many years building global brand and demand programmes for large B2B companies. Ei brings him back to his roots in strategy and research. As CEO, Matt’s responsible for the overall strategy and direction of our company – with a particular focus on continual improvement in how we serve clients, innovate with technology, and build a best-in-class team. Based in Colorado, when not at his desk he can be found wild camping in a rooftop tent, skiing or losing himself in the latest fantasy epic.
Mike Barker
Co-Founder & Chair
After spending six years in the commercial team of the Financial Times launching and building a substantial conference business, Mike, Sue and Tony decided to take a leap into the unknown and launch Ei to offer clients an unrivalled, independent approach to B2B Marketing. Mike is responsible for Ei’s growth strategy and operations; only possible because of his multi-tasking skills. But then if you live in the Northamptonshire countryside with dogs, cats, horses, chickens and children, you definitely need to multi-task.
Sue Mayers
Co-Founder & CFO
With a BA in French and Spanish and an MBA, Sue spent 18 years in various managerial positions in the business information sector before becoming one of the founding partners of Ei. She has been fundamental not just in managing the finance team and recruitment, but also in the strategic direction of the company.
Tony Jarvis
Co-Founder & Chief Client Officer
Tony leads Ei’s Client Relations and Growth Team globally. Responsible for building and driving the right support plans for, and relationships with, each of our clients, Tony and his team spend their time deep in conversation with our customers about what exactly they are trying to achieve, how Ei can be most helpful and ensuring that vision is delivered. With over 25 years’ experience in B2B marketing, he’s built long-standing relationships across the industry and advises clients on all aspects of Go-To-Market, Messaging and ABM strategy. Known for his thoughtful approach and deep sector knowledge, Tony is a regular speaker at B2B marketing forums around the world. Outside of work, he’s a Team GB-level triathlete — which explains his energy and stamina in back-to-back meetings.
Angharad Gilbey
Lead Analyst
Angharad brings sharp thinking, curiosity, and serious research skills to the Ei team, helping to set our AI strategy and leading work on some of our most technical projects. Having joined Ei from the world of B2B events and research, Angharad has worked across topics like cybersecurity, fraud, regulation and compliance, with a flair for turning complex material into clear, compelling insight. Before this, a first-class degree in medieval history, languages, and literature at Cambridge laid the foundation for a career spent digging deep into specific and nuanced subjects. Conscientious and creative, Angharad loves a challenge and is happy exploring any corner of the B2B universe – the more niche, the better.

She plays a central role in shaping our intelligence offering and ensuring our clients receive top-tier service and insight. From crafting global go-to-market strategies to digging into the finer points of content and account strategies, Caroline is a trusted partner to clients and colleagues alike. She also leads our client feedback programme and is a key member of Ei’s Leadership Team, helping to shape the future direction of the business.
Chris Hibbert
Product Lead – North America & APAC Account Intelligence
Chris joined Ei in London in 2019 before relocating to New York in early 2020 to help expand the business in the US. He plays a central role in developing EI’s account intelligence services, which he now leads across North America and APAC. Chris works closely with clients to ensure they are delighted with our work and brings his knowledge to continuous product development. Prior to Ei, Chris produced the SuperReturn conferences series, running events across China, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US. Confident, smart, and quick-witted, Chris brings professionalism and humour to his role — always putting the client first. He most enjoys managing people and clients, and evolving solutions that deliver real impact. Outside of work, he can be found skiing, running, or exploring New York’s buzzing restaurant scene.
Chris Hutchings
Lead Analyst
Chris joined Ei in 2021 and plays a key role in delivering our ABM intelligence, with a focus on account-based marketing strategies for high-value clients in complex sectors. He particularly enjoys getting to know each account’s nuances — and spotting new, actionable opportunities that even the most seasoned sales teams have missed. Before joining EI, Chris worked in conference production across financial services, energy, and infrastructure. His sharp research skills are underpinned by a degree in History & Philosophy and a Masters in Management, both from the University of Sheffield. Clients value his ability to bring fresh thinking to well-trodden ground, delivering insight and recommendations that have real impact. Outside of work, Chris is a keen sportsman. You’ll often find him out on the golf course trying to lower his handicap.
Claire Cordell
Director of Marketing & Data Strategy
Claire brings a dash of elegance and class to the Ei offices. She joined the team in 2009, not long after the company began, and played a huge part in building and leading a research team that helps clients overcome diverse and complex marketing challenges. Her past experience also includes running the PEi JV with Ptarmigan Media. Claire has a calm and methodical approach and great lateral thinking skills; she is a good point of reference for ideas or advice. Now, Claire is putting her creativity to task by building Ei’s Marketing & Data functions, as well as leading AI strategy and sitting on Ei’s Leadership Team. Claire studied English at Cambridge University and once had secret aspirations of being Prime Minister, but politics’ loss is most definitely Ei’s gain.
Finlay Eglinton
Research Analyst
Finlay joined Ei in July 2025 as a Research Analyst. He enjoys the fast-paced nature of the role and the constant opportunity to dive into new industries, uncovering what drives major enterprises and how they’re evolving. He’s particularly excited about working with leading tech clients and exploring the future of AI applications. After completing his MA in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh – a personally meaningful experience that reconnected him with his Scottish roots – Finlay began his career in conference production. He spent several years creating content across the TMT and finance sectors before moving into research consultancy. Outside of work, he’s a keen padel player and runner, always on the hunt for great food and planning his next travel adventure – with the southern US up next.
Jack Sampson
Global Account Director
Jack is a seasoned client partner with over seven years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, asset managers, and high-growth corporates on marketing and sales strategies. Jack began his journey at Ei bringing analytical depth to the research function before transitioning into his client-facing role. He leads high-impact engagements across multiple sectors including advisory, technology, financial services, and oil and gas. Whether guiding long-term partnerships, architecting account-based initiatives, or supporting targeted commercial plays, Jack’s goal is simple: become a trusted partner to his clients and contacts, aligning Ei’s sharpest thinking to pressing business needs. Outside of Ei, Jack sits on the board of a PLC, expanding his commercial lens. Off screen, he’s deeply invested in family life, and not one to shy away from a high-intensity CrossFit session.

She holds a Marketing degree (with a specialism in Statistics) from Newcastle University and has recently expanded her data analytics skills with Google certifications. With a degree in Environmental Studies and Business from the University of Leeds and a background in conference production, Kathryn is adept at navigating complex commercial challenges — from strategic planning with senior stakeholders to problem-solving for outcomes or uncovering insights in the data. She especially values building strong relationships — both with clients and the wider Ei team — to create genuine partnership and shared success. Originally from London, she moved to New York in 2022. Outside of work, she enjoys weight training, travel, and exploring the city’s best food spots.
Keri-Ann McArthur-King, FCCA

She’s particularly proud of streamlining processes and implementing new systems to support EI’s unique business model. Originally from New Zealand, Keri thrives in Ei’s culture: the energy and agility of a small business, combined with a global outlook. Her colleagues value her clarity, calmness and can-do spirit. Outside of work, Keri is no stranger to a challenge — she’s climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and represented New Zealand in cross-country skiing and was the overall female winner at British National Race Week in 2002.
Laura Wade
Finance
Laura plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly at Ei — both in the finance team and across client accounts. Since joining in 2021, she’s become essential to day-to-day operations, helping manage everything from supplier payments to chasing down late invoices. Whether dealing with creditors or debtors, Laura brings a calm, firm and fair approach — backed by excellent multitasking skills (honed through raising three teenagers at home!). She most enjoys the people, the positive culture, and the flexibility at Ei, and is known for being great fun to work with. Outside of work, you’ll find her watching or playing sport, catching up with friends, or planning her next getaway.

With a background in B2C and B2B digital content writing and editing, and over 15 years of experience as a theatre actor and writer, Lydia is an excellent writer, speaker and communicator. At Ei, she supports team members in improving their presentation skills, and is also Ei’s in-house Content Writing Lead, responsible for writing and editing Ei’s thought leadership content. Her education includes a Masters in Business and Management from the University of London and a Masters in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University. Outside of work, Lydia is a published scientific writer and an award-winning playwright.
Milly Norman
Research Analyst
Milly joined EI’s London office as an Analyst in the summer of 2025. A recent History graduate from Cambridge University, she is looking forward to applying her analytical skills to the world of B2B marketing, producing high-quality work, and contributing to EI’s cheerful office culture. Before joining EI, Milly qualified in Investor Relations — a useful side-adventure that gave her a grounding in financial markets and how to engage effectively with stakeholders. She’s already enjoying the collaborative atmosphere in the London office, and is excited by the variety and individuality of EI’s work, as well as the clear value it delivers for clients. Outside of work, Milly channels her creativity into sculpting and textiles, with a particular passion for making photo-realistic dolls complete with historically accurate clothing.
Peter Ellis
Lead Analyst & Strategic Partnerships Leader
Pete brings a mix of sharp thinking, creativity and calm to Ei. His focus is on shaping large, integrated programmes for clients, underpinned by strong thought leadership and partnership strategy. With a degree in Philosophy and a Masters in Management, Pete combines clear logic and commercial insight, helping clients find original solutions to complex challenges. He leads our relationships with the world’s largest media brands, negotiating creative opportunities that push beyond the standard offering to deliver bespoke value. It might sound all Cannes and canapés, but Pete works hard behind the scenes to make sure the programmes fit the brief, not the other way around. A true team player (in fact, a former England hockey player), he thrives on collaboration with colleagues, clients, and partners.
Rachel Reasbeck

Rachel first joined Ei back in 2008 as a senior analyst, honing her skills in client research before building her career at other consultancies. She returned to Ei in 2022 to take on a senior client role, where she now leads major global accounts, heads up our ABM Club, and sits on the Leadership Team. Calm under pressure and commercially astute, Rachel plays a key role in helping our clients, and Ei, develop business.

At home, she’s happiest with a good book and a proper roast dinner.
